Dismissal System Update

Parents,

Starting November 1st, we will be using a system called PickUp Patrol  to help us track dismissals. PickUp Patrol (PUP) will save us a great deal of time here in the office, reduce classroom interruptions and provide you with a convenient way to make changes to your children’s dismissal plans. 

Most importantly, it will help us ensure that our students are safely dismissed to their correct after-school destinations.

Use the PickUp Patrol app for:

ATTENDANCE: Notify the school office when your child will be absent, arriving late or leaving early.

DISMISSAL CHANGES: Submit changes to your child’s regular dismissal plans. 

For example: 

  • Your child normally rides the bus but is getting picked up today.
  • Your child is staying after for an activity.

How it works:

Your child's regular dismissal plan is entered into the system. This is called their Default Plan. Whenever you have a change to the Default Plan, you’ll submit it through the PickUp Patrol app. When the change is submitted, the school will be notified, and your child’s teacher will relay the change to them.

Getting started:

  • REGISTER: On Thursday Nov. 2nd,  you will receive a registration email with a link to set up your account.
    • The web app is free to parents and you can use it from your smartphone or computer. 
    • For easy access, follow the instructions for how to add it to your phone’s home screen (PUP is not accessed through the app stores).
  • ENTER DEFAULT PLANS: Once you register, log into your PickUp Patrol account by Nov. 13th, 2023 to confirm your child’s default dismissal plan. It’s important that you complete this step so that we can accurately dismiss your children. 

Notes, emails or phone calls will be accepted for changes for the next few weeks, but starting Nov. 13th 2023, all changes should be submitted through PickUp Patrol.

Comenzando el 1ro de noviembre del 2023, nuestra escuela experimentará con una aplicación de la red llamada PickUp Patrol para ayudarnos a manejar el proceso de salidas y facilitar cambios en los planes de su hijo.

Antes, una nota o una llamada a la oficina era necesario para informarnos de un cambio de salidas de la escuela. PickUp Patrol automatiza este proceso, ahorrando tiempo en la oficina y reduciendo interrupciones en la clase, dando conveniencia y flexibilidad cuando usted quiera hacer cambios en sus horarios. Toda la información está protegida, y el programa está administrado directamente por nuestro personal.

El PickUp Patrol app es:

  • Conveniente: Se puede hacer cambios días, semanas, o meses por adelantado.
  • Confiable: Un correo de confirmación será enviado cada vez que haga un cambio de planes.
  • Seguro: La aplicación facilitará una salida segura para todos nuestros estudiantes.

¿Cómo Funciona?

  • PickUp Patrol (PUP) es gratuito con acceso usando su smartphone o computadora.
  • Para hacer cambios de salida, simplemente entre, seleccione una fecha, el nombre de su hijo, y una opción de cambio de planes. Entonces envíe y es todo!
  • Cambios y ausencias pueden estar entrados meses por adelantado, pero envíe cambios del mismo día no mas tardar de las 2:00 pm.
  • Los maestros recibirán notificaciones cuando haya cambios de las salidas de sus estudiantes e informarían a sus estudiantes.

¿Cómo Registrar?

 

  • Para registarse usted, recibirá un correo con instrucciones para crear una cuenta. Asegúrese de registrarse a tiempo porque el enlace expirará el lunes 13 de novimebre del 2023.
  • Hacer un Plan habitual: Cuando inicie la sesión, repase o ponga el plan predeterminado de la entrada y salida de su hijo. Es importante que usted complete este paso de esta manera Podemos despedir con precision a sus hijos.
  • Añada PUP a su Celular: Para un accesso facil siga las siguientes instruciones de cómo adicional el app en su “home screen” (add the link here).
